MARQUETTE, MI- Marius Korthauer once again earned the top spot at the NTN Trails, winning the men's 15K classic race over Northern Michigan's Phil Violett. Korthauer actually trailed the Wildcat racer by over seven seconds with just two kilometers to go, but the German turned it on late to grab a 1.1 second victory.

Fellow senior Vahur Teppan grabbed fourth place overall, third among collegiate skiers. Andy Schnitzer rounded out the Nanooks top three with a 17th place finish.

Despite Korthauer's second triumph in as many days, the Nanooks were forced to settle for a third-place finish among collegiate teams. The men rang up 68 points on the day, finishing behind both CCSA rivals Northern Michigan (78 points) and Michigan Tech (76 points).

On the women's side, Aurelia Korthauer took the bronze with a third-place finish, crossing the line just behind a pair of NMU racers. Nanook redshirt Julia Coulter took fourth, while Elisabeth Habermann and Anna Coulter came in 12th and 17th respectively among collegiate skiers.

Like the men, the women also had to be content with a third-place finish, thanks to a surprising performance from Gustavus Adolphus College, who netted second place with 70 points. Northern Michigan took the top spot with 86 points, while the Nanooks amassed 69 on the day.
