Nanooks Sign a Second Texas Southern Transfer
Alaska Nanooks head coach Clemon Johnson announced the signing of 6-foot-9 forward, Onyekautukwu Abiakam, on Friday. Abiakam comes to Fairbanks as a transfer from Texas Southern University.
The Anambra State, Nigeria native spent the past four years at TSU and was a member of the Tigers basketball team for the past two. TSU, Division I affiliate's of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) finished 7-25 last season. Abiakam appeared in 11 games, scoring 10 points and shooting .455 from the field. (more) |
