2008-09...made a goal for the blue's 4-3 victory in the breakaway skills competition during the blue and gold game

Prior to Alaska ... four-year veteran in the North American Hockey League ... skated with the Topeka Roadrunners in 2007-08 and led the NAHL blueliners in scoring with 58 points (12 goals) and a plus-41 rating in 53 games ... honored twice as the South Division Player of the Week ... named to the NAHL's All-South Division Team and was one of four finalists for the Dave Tyler USA Junior Player of the Year award ... prior to joining Topeka, Gens played three seasons with the Santa Fe Roadrunners ... after scoring three points in six games as a rookie (2003-04) ... in 2004-05 he notched 10 points in 52 games and improved to 20 points in 60 contests in his final year with Santa Fe (2006-07).
