Heidi Ritchie will return for her ninth season as athletic trainer for the Nanooks' women's basketball team. She is currently working at the Fairbanks Medical Hospital Rehabilitation Center, and serves as an athletic trainer for North Pole High School as well.

Ritchie graduated from Lathrop High School in 1987, then attended UAF from 1987-88 before transferring to North Dakota State University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in athletic training. She received a second degree in education with an emphasis on history in 1993. That same year, she also served as the head athletic trainer for NDSU's championship-winning basketball team.
