2006-2007 ... earned first place in the 1000 freestyle on Nov. 3 with a time of 10:41.16, the time was also a NCAA B qualifying time ... placed second in the 100 butterfly in the same meet ... first place finish in the 200 freestyle and the 200 butterfly on Nov. 4 in a dual meet against Seattle University ... butterfly time was an NCAA B qualifying mark as well as a new team record ... was a member of the 200 yd medley relay team that broke the school record with a time of 1:53.39 on Nov. 18 at the Speedo Cup ... posted a Division A qualifying time in the 200 butterfly on Nov. 19 at the Speedo Cup, the time also broke the previous school record ... shattered previous school record in the 400 yd medley on Jan. 8 with a time of 4:46.43 ... placed first in both the 100 butterfly and the 500 freestyle on Jan. 15 ... top-twenty finish in the 1,000 yd freestyle at NCAA Div. II championships ... 10th place finish in the 200 yd butterfly at the NCAA Div. II championships ... Named team MVP.

Prior to Alaska ... Attended Tualatin High School in Tualatin, OR . . . Qualified for the Oregon High School State Championships all four years . . . As a senior qualified for the championship final in both the 200 yd and 500 yd freestyles, finishing in sixth place in the 200 and seventh in the 500.

Coach Lemley on Kelly ... "Kelly had a great freshman year resulting primarily from the commitment she made to train at the level needed to qualify for NCAAs. To her credit she qualified to swim in four individual events at nationals and became our school's first All-American swimmer in 20 years with her 10th place finish in the 200 yd Fly. In fact, as our only national qualifier, she virtually trained alone during the last month of practice. I found her day-to-day determination to stay focused to be quite extraordinary. If we qualify our relays for NCAAs this year, she should be joined by at least three of her teammates. It was definitely a challenge for her to relax at last year's championships with no teammates to hang out with and two coaches hovering over her constantly yet she maintained her composure and swam very well in that pressure cooker of a meet."
